"You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'My God, you're right! I never would've thought of that!'"

For people who have the passion for helping animals?

Help to Improve the lives of Animals

The links below are of animal protection organizations that educate people to take an active role in improving the lives of animals. They also help promote the passage of legislation, citizen initiatives and the adoption of public policies that recognize animals as living, sentient beings that warrant protection.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - PETA believes that animals deserve the most basic rights—consideration of their own best interests regardless of whether they are useful to humans. Like you, they are capable of suffering and have interests in leading their own lives; therefore, they are not ours to use—for food, clothing, entertainment, or experimentation, or for any other reason.

Animal People News is recognized as today's most authoritative source of information on animals and the issues affecting their treatment and eventual liberation.
The Humane Society of The United States makes a difference in the lives of animals here at home and worldwide. The HSUS is dedicated to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion. They seek a truly humane society in which animals are respected for their intrinsic value, and where the human-animal bond is strong.
Wold Animal Foundation Save the World, Save the Animals!
HelpPuppies.com Most puppies sold in stores come from breeding "farms" called "puppy mills," where mother dogs and "studs" spend lonely lives in small filthy cages, producing litter after litter.
Circuses.com In contrast to the glitter associated with circuses, performing animals' lives are pretty miserable. Because animals do not naturally ride bicycles, stand on their heads, or jump through rings of fire, whips, electric prods, and other tools are often used to force them to perform.
World Society for the Protection of Animals -WSPA
Vision: "To ensure that the principles of animal welfare are universally understood and respected and protected by enforced legislation."
Mission: "To raise the standards of animal welfare throughout the world."
Animal Welfare Institute - AWI is a Non Profit charitable organization founded in 1951 to reduce the sum total of pain and fear inflicted on animal by humans. ie; Circuses.
AnimalConcerns.org The Animal Concerns Community is a project of the EnviroLink Network, a non-profit organization which has been providing access to thousands of online environmental and animal rights/welfare resources since 1991. This community serves as a clearinghouse for information on the Internet related to animal rights and welfare. If you know of resources that should be listed here, please suggest a new resource and help our community grow!
