Mission Statement

It is the mission of Animal control to provide protection and service to all of the citizens of our community. Our mission is to end all unnecessary euthanasia, to educate towards humane and responsible pet ownership, and to enforce the state and city ordinances. Our mission will be guided by the values of our department, which we categorize under the headings of service to our community, integrity, responsibility/accountability, professionalism, and pride in, and enjoyment of our profession.

Values

We recognize our contribution to the quality of life and safe environment in our community through the provision of professional animal control services. We will meet the challenge of providing these services by basing our thoughts and actions of the following shared values.

Our foundation is: We value the opportunity to provide service in a manner which is fair, courteous, responsible and efficient. An attitude of respect for, and the protection of, the worth dignity and rights of all we service.

We will endeavor to rid this community of unnecessary euthanasia cost through education towards humane and responsible pet ownership. We will enforce state and city ordinances in a fair and unbiased manner.

We value candor, honesty and ethical behavior in the members of our department. We are committed to uphold our positions of trust by maintaining the highest ethical standards of Processional Conduct and Ethics.
